Unique only to Lucknow, this festival is the ultimate symbol of communal harmony.
- Significance: Celebrated on every Tuesday of the Hindu month of Jyeshtha (typically May–June). It originated when a Mughal Begum (Queen) built the Aliganj Hanuman Temple after her prayers for a son were answered.
- The Experience: The entire city turns into a giant community kitchen. You will find thousands of Bhandaras (stalls) on every street corner serving free Puri-Sabzi, Halwa, and Sharbat to everyone, regardless of their religion or status.
