Chandrika Devi Temple
This ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Durga (Chandrika Devi) is a major pilgrimage site located on the banks of the Gomti River. It is believed to date back to the Ramayana era, established by Rajkumar Chandraketu, the son of Lakshmana. The current structure is about 300 years old and houses a unique rock-carved idol with three heads. The temple complex features a serene pond called Sudhanva Kund, with a massive statue of Lord Shiva in its center. It is especially vibrant during Navratri and Amavasya, attracting thousands of devotees who perform sacred rituals and attend the local fair.
