Hanuman Setu Mandir (Sankat Mochan)
Established in the 1960s by the famous saint Neem Karoli Baba, this temple is situated right next to the Gomti River bridge. It is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, and Maharaj-ji often referred to the deity here as the “Governor General of all Hanumans.” The temple is known for its peaceful atmosphere and the practice of devotees tying sacred threads while making a wish. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, the temple is packed with people of all ages, including many students from the nearby Lucknow University. The temple is also renowned for its “prasad” and its beautifully maintained riverside surroundings.
